Sump is a fieldbook for septic-service work. Your fieldbook stays on your device unless you choose to export it.

Who provides Sump

Information stored in your fieldbook

You can enter customer names and phone numbers, property addresses, access instructions, tank details and optional tank/lid coordinates. Service records can include schedules, volumes pumped, work notes, photos, customer signatures, agreed return dates and optional payment links. The app also stores identifiers and timestamps needed to keep records consistent, your appearance preference, and recoverable draft entries.

These details are used on your device to organize visits, recover unfinished work, keep service history, show return dates and create reports. Sample visits are fictional and are kept separately from your own fieldbook.

Photos, signatures and location

You choose individual photos through Android’s file chooser or take a photo using your camera app. Sump copies selected photos into its private app storage. A signature is collected only when you open the signing screen and save it. Only capture information you are authorized to keep.

Optional location coordinates you enter are stored with the property and tank. Sump does not track your movements or collect background location. Directions open a separate maps app with the address or coordinates you choose to use.

What leaves your device

Sump does not send your fieldbook to the developer, sell personal information, or use it for advertising. When you export a PDF, CSV or fieldbook backup, you choose the destination using Android’s document picker. A chosen cloud-storage provider may upload that file under its own privacy terms.

Calling a customer, opening directions, opening a payment link or emailing support launches another app. Those apps and services process the information you provide under their own policies. Sump does not process payments or receive payment-card details. If you email support, the developer receives your email address and the content and attachments you send; do not include customer records unless necessary and authorized.

Storage, security and backups

Fieldbook data is stored in Android’s app-private storage. Sump does not add its own encryption layer; protection depends on Android and your device’s security. Use a device lock and keep Android up to date. Automatic app backup is disabled. You can explicitly export a backup for device migration.

Exported backups are ZIP files containing records and attached proof; they are not encrypted. PDFs and CSVs may also contain personal information. Store and share them carefully. Restore is allowed only into an empty fieldbook, to avoid overwriting existing work.

Retention and deletion

Records remain on your device until you clear Sump’s app storage in Android Settings or uninstall the app. Completed service records are kept immutable inside the fieldbook to preserve their history. Editing a property does not change earlier completed records. The developer cannot remotely access, correct or delete your local fieldbook.

Files you export and copies held by other apps are not removed when Sump is uninstalled. Delete them separately at their chosen destinations. Support emails are retained only as needed to respond, maintain support records or meet applicable obligations; contact the address above to request their deletion.

Children

Sump is intended for professional service operators, not for children. It does not knowingly collect children’s information through an online account or service.

This website

This privacy page contains no analytics, tracking pixels, advertising or forms. Its hosting provider may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and secure the page. That website traffic does not include the contents of your Sump fieldbook.

Changes and contact
